一队宇航员用六年时间，驾驶核动力飞船，探索了金星、水星、太阳、火星、木星、土星、冥王星和一颗不知道名字的彗星，其中宇航员登陆了金星、火星、木卫IO、冥王星和彗星进行实地考察并提取样本，向木卫欧罗巴和土卫泰坦发射了探测器。很多场景都非常引人入胜：在水手谷悬崖边观赏火星风光，在木卫IO上由于木星强大磁场的作用在宇航服表面产生一层极光，把宇宙飞船开进卡西尼环缝，在冥王星上同时欣赏只比满月亮100倍的太阳和10个满月大小的冥卫查戎，等等等等，如此这番让人热血沸腾的场面比比皆是。其中一位船员因为太阳辐射在到达土星时病逝了，队员们把他的遗体安葬到土星光环中，我想这是世界上最浪漫的坟墓了。
